Help: View a Project

This page displays specific project information.

Project information includes: Project Name, Project Number, Priority, Number of Issues, Manager, Client, Portfolio, Start Date, Delivery Date, Date Created, Last Modified Date and Description.

If a project has issues in the Issue Tracker a link will be available to them.

The Project Status appears to the right of the project name (and number if one exists).

There may also be budget information on the page, if a budget is being used. Budget information may include: On Budget (Yes/No), Budget Type, Estimated Net Project Cost, Project Price and Margin. If no budget exists, a link to Start a Budget will be visible.

Bottom-Up Budgets are defined as Off Budget when the Actual Net Project Cost at that moment in time is higher than the Estimated Net Project at that moment in time. To verify the current values, check the Variance Report on the View Budget page.

Top-Down Budgets are defined as Off Budget when the Actual Net Project Cost is higher than the Estimated Net Project Cost. Since variance is not a factor for Top-Down Budgets, the system uses the total, absolute numbers irrespective of time.

Schedule information will also appear on the page, if a schedule is being used. Schedule information shown includes: On Schedule (Yes/No), Percent Complete Type and Next Deliverables.

  • Next Deliverable(s) includes all late tasks and tasks that need to be completed within the next 2 weeks.

  • Schedules are defined as Off Schedule when a critical task is not completed on time. They will remain off schedule until a critical task is completed on time.

If no schedule exists, the Next Deliverable will say Start a Schedule. Clicking this link will popup a window asking you to input how many steps you would like to add. When the number of steps has been selected, the page will refresh to the Add Schedule page (see Help information on this page for further details).

If timesheet entries have been input for the project a Total Hours Worked Report will be available. It displays a list of project members and their hours worked by Work Type.

The list of project members is shown at the bottom of the page. Included in the Project Members List are the departments involved, team members' titles, phone numbers and email addresses.

Clicking on each individual team member's name will launch a popup window displaying the member's timesheet report for the project.

To view documents associated with the project, click Documents in the navigation.

To view the schedule or budget information associated with the project, click Schedules and Budgets in the navigation.

To edit the project, click Edit in the submenu below Manage Projects at the top of the page.

To delete this project, click Delete in the submenu below Manage Projects at the top of the page. A popup will ask you if you are sure: To delete the project, click OK. To go back to the project without deleting it, click Cancel.

To warehouse the project, click Warehouse in the submenu below Manage Projects at the top of the page.
