Use this page to input timesheet entries for projects or tasks that you are not assigned to. Your current timesheet is also viewable.
The system automatically provides 5 blank timesheet entries.
To add a timesheet entry:
- Select a client from the pulldown menu.
- Select a project from the pulldown menu. The project list will only appear for the specific client selected.
- To associate a timesheet entry with a specific task, click the Task link. This launches a popup window which includes a list of all tasks and subtasks for the project. Click the task name to associate the entry with that specific task.
- Select a work type. If you selected a task then the work type assigned to you on that task will appear as already selected. If you did not select a task and you have a Default Work Type this one will appear as already selected.
- Input a work date. The work date field will default to the current date if the setting, Default Workday to Today's Date in the Admin system is turned on. To assign a date to all timesheet entries on the page click the link Set all Dates. Upon clicking this link the page will expand to display the field Apply this work date to all entries. Enter the date into this field and click the Apply button to assign this date to all timesheet entries.
- Input the number of hours (or days) worked.
- Input a description.
- Check off the overtime box if the hours (or days) worked are considered overtime.
When finished, click either the Submit Entries button (to be redirected to the Current Timesheet page) or the Submit Entries/Add More button (which will launch a popup asking how many further entries to add).
Your Current Timesheet also appears on the page. Timesheets are based on a timesheet period during which it is possible to input entries. When the timesheet period ends, users must complete their timesheets in order to get a new, empty timesheet for the next period.
Editing and Deleting Timesheet Entries
